Hi, my name is Cola
Hi, I’m Jean Coletta.
I’m a Lead Product Designer in Brooklyn with over 10 years of experience in fintech, retail, media and edtech.
I like the early, messy part of a product, when the problem isn’t clear yet and the fastest way forward is to talk to users and put a prototype in front of them. At InRhythm I led redesign work for Goldman Sachs and Albertsons, including Albertsons’ onboarding and identity migration, and launched new product areas that users picked up easily. I also care about how design teams work. At InRhythm I wrote the company’s design leveling document and mentored designers across client teams. Before that, at productionglue, I helped grow the team by 80% in two years and raise the new business win rate to 51%.
Since 2023 I’ve run Rumpus Works, a studio that helps early-stage founders turn proof-of-concept products into MVPs they can show investors. I also design advanced programs for working UX designers at Bitesize UX. Lately I build working prototypes with Claude Code so users can test real interactions, not just static screens. Before moving into product, I was a visual designer for clients including The Wall Street Journal, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and Viacom. That’s where I learned to turn a brand into a system.
I’m open to remote Lead, Staff and Principal product design roles.
Just listen to what my clients have to say:
“You’re a true, true pro. So thankful for your
work on this platform, your user centricity and
... your patience”
“I can’t thank you enough for
navigating this with us,
… we are so pleased.”
“Beautiful design that is so intuitive,
my mother could use it.”
“Cola delivered smart, empathetic
and thoughtful UX work for the
duration and I really loved the results.”
